Chase is making changes to the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card, with benefits being added and removed. The 2% drugstore category benefit is being eliminated, but new benefits include 5% back on purchases made through Chase Travel with an eligible Prime membership, and 2% back on local transit and commuting, including rideshares. Existing benefits remain the same, including 5% back at Amazon and Whole Foods with an eligible Prime membership, 2% back at restaurants and gas stations, and 1% back on all other purchases.
The changes may not have a significant impact, but the 5% Chase Travel benefit could be useful for those without another Chase card with that benefit.
